Their editions page carries full written descriptions for every item — descriptions that only load with JavaScript, which is why they have been widely missed. We have added everything they contain, **including a pre-order bonus we had omitted entirely**. Full changelog at the bottom. For months the honest answer to "what's actually in the Ultimate Edition?" was *nobody knows*. Rockstar described it as extra vehicles, weapons, two side missions, and some exclusive shops — and left it there. That's changed. Rockstar's official media page now carries **51 Ultimate Edition screenshots**, and every one is titled with the item it shows. That gives us a complete, officially-sourced inventory. Here it is. Worth noting how deliberately spread these are across traversal types — supercar, off-roader, bike, powerboat, kayak. That's coverage of road, sand, and both deep and shallow water. For a map with a wetland region, a keys chain, and a national park with kayak-able rivers, that reads as intentional rather than a random parts bin. The **Classic Car Collection** is the wildcard. These aren't skins. They're places in the world you can only walk into if you paid the extra $20. "305," incidentally, is Miami's real area code. Rockstar naming a clothing store after it is exactly the kind of detail that makes Leonida feel like Florida rather than a generic stand-in. --- ## Cosmetics - **Vice City Style** — outfit collection, five screenshots - **Electric Fang Tattoo** — tattoo set, four screenshots --- ## Missions ✅ **Two exclusive side missions**, confirmed by Rockstar. Not named, not described. ⚠️ We don't know their length, their reward, or whether they gate anything else. --- ## The one thing that hasn't changed ✅ **CONFIRMED** — Ultimate content unlocks **progressively as Jason and Lucia move through their chapters**, rather than landing in your inventory at hour one. So this isn't a head start. You're not going to spawn into Vice City in a Grotti Cheetah. It's extra content distributed across a campaign you'll be playing for a long time. --- ## So is it worth $20 now? We said "fine, not great" before the list was public. That was an under-informed take, and we've updated it. **The honest arithmetic:** six named vehicles plus a find-and-restore questline, two weapon sets, five exclusive businesses, two side missions, and two cosmetic collections. Against a $79.99 base game, $20 for that is proportionate. If you'll put a hundred hours into GTA 6 — and most people who buy it will — the upgrade costs you twenty cents an hour. **Buy Ultimate if** you play campaigns thoroughly, care about vehicle variety, or would be annoyed to discover a mod shop you can't enter. **Buy Standard if** you want the story once and don't chase completion, or you'd rather see reviews first. Rockstar has now shown 26:48 of gameplay in [the Extended Look](https://crookedtide.com/gta-6-extended-look-netflix-august-27/), but nobody outside Rockstar has played it and no review exists. Buying the deluxe tier of an unreviewed game remains a choice — just a better-informed one than it was in August. **Either way, pre-order or buy before November 20.** The [Vintage Vice City Pack](https://crookedtide.com/vintage-vice-city-pack-guide) comes free with any purchase made before then — Standard included — and disappears after. Grand Theft Auto is a trademark of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc.* --- ## Update — 16 August 2026 ### Pre-order bonuses: there are two, not one ✅ **Vintage Vice City Pack** — free with any purchase before 20 November 2026, Standard included. ✅ **Free Month of GTA+** — one month of Rockstar's existing subscription service. **Read that second one carefully, because it isn't what it looks like.** Every GTA+ benefit Rockstar lists is for *GTA Online in GTA V* — the game that's already out. Their wording: a recurring monthly GTA$500,000 deposit into "your **GTA Online** character's bank account", special Shark Cards, and "access to free and discounted **GTA Online** vehicles". ⚠️ **This is not confirmation of a GTA 6 online mode.** Rockstar has announced no multiplayer component for Grand Theft Auto VI. Some will read the bundling as positioning for one. That's speculation, and we're labelling it as speculation. ### Two named pistols The "Personalized Weapon Variants" item is engraved versions of two pistols Rockstar has now named: - ✅ **Girardi ES9** — Jason's pistol - ✅ **Klose K17** — Lucia's pistol The **Hawk & Little Morgan Revolvers** are "sourced from the **Vercetti Estate**". Tommy Vercetti was the protagonist of GTA Vice City (2002). ⚠️ Rockstar has not stated a connection. ### A second named property ✅ **Paradise Garage**, in **Watson Bay** — where the '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy is stored. Rockstar states it "features a weapon locker, plus a secure place to deposit stolen goods to be fenced." That last detail is the first officially-sourced fact about GTA 6's economy. Covered separately in [our money article](https://crookedtide.com/gta-6-money-what-we-know/). ### Two items we had categorised wrongly **PTT Youngin$ is not a store.** Rockstar: "**Raid the compound** of one of Southside Vice City's loudest and most socially active gangs and **escape safely** to score some special items and distinct contraband." That's an activity with a fail state. Corrected. **The Classic Car Collection is not a car pack.** Rockstar: "**Track down** a variety of abandoned classic and work-in-progress project cars and **revitalize them**… a special commission from eccentric collector and local fixer, **Wyman**." A find-and-restore questline — and Wyman is a named character we didn't have. ### Progressive unlocking — upgraded to CONFIRMED Rockstar describes the '95 Grotti Cheetah as "available to punctuate **later-stage action**". Previously we marked this 🔷 REPORTED. It's now ✅ CONFIRMED. ### Which shops are Ultimate-only Rockstar writes "Only open for business with the Ultimate Edition" on exactly four: **Sara's Unisex Salon**, **Stock 305 Clothing Store**, **Electric Fang Tattoo Parlor** and **One-Eyed Willie's Mod Shop**. ⚠️ It does *not* say that on Rideout Customs, Goodtime Gear or PTT Youngin$. Whether that's meaningful or just inconsistent copywriting is unknown. ### Changelog **16 August 2026** — Added the Free Month of GTA+ pre-order bonus, which we'd missed entirely. Added the Girardi ES9 and Klose K17\. Added Paradise Garage and Wyman. Recategorised PTT Youngin$ from storefront to raid activity, and the Classic Car Collection from vehicle pack to questline. Upgraded progressive unlocking from reported to confirmed. These descriptions only load with JavaScript, which is why they have been widely missed.* ## Update — 5 September 2026: Rockstar edited the page, and renamed two items Nothing was added to the Ultimate Edition. The [Extended Look](https://crookedtide.com/gta-6-extended-look-netflix-august-27/) showed 26:48 of gameplay and did not name a single new Ultimate item. The list above is still complete. Rockstar did quietly change three things, though, and one of them answers a question we left open. ### Rideout Customs lost its exclusivity line Above, we noted that Rockstar writes "Only open for business with the Ultimate Edition" on four shops but not on Rideout Customs — and said we didn't know whether that was meaningful or just inconsistent copywriting. ✅ It's neither. **The line was there and Rockstar removed it.** Kotaku quoted Rockstar's Rideout Customs description verbatim on 24 June 2026, ending "Only open for business with the Ultimate Edition." The live page as of today ends at "donk stylings." ⚠️ What the deletion **means** is still unknown. It could be a copy tidy-up. It could mean Rideout Customs is no longer Ultimate-exclusive. Rockstar hasn't said, and we're not going to guess. ### Rockstar now calls PTT Youngin$ a "Compound" On 16 August we recategorised PTT Youngin$ from storefront to raid activity, on the strength of Rockstar's own description — "Raid the compound… and escape safely." Rockstar's support page, **updated 18 August**, now lists the item as **"PTT Youngin$ Compound."** They renamed it two days after we made the call. Worth knowing if you're searching for any of them. ### Changelog **5 September 2026** — Confirmed the Extended Look added no Ultimate Edition content and the item list above remains complete. Resolved the Rideout Customs exclusivity question: the line was deleted, not absent. Added the support-page renames. Corrected the stale "no hands-on gameplay footage" line and the screenshot count.
