About Crooked Tide
Crooked Tide is an independent guide site for Grand Theft Auto VI and the State of Leonida.
A crooked tide is water that looks like it's going one way and pulls another. That's most of what's written about this game right now — confident, detailed, and invented. We started this site to be the opposite.
Our one rule
Every claim on this site is labelled:
- ✅ CONFIRMED — stated by Rockstar directly, or shown in official material
- 🔷 REPORTED — credible outlet, not officially confirmed. We name the outlet.
- ⚠️ SPECULATION — community analysis, analyst projection, or a pattern from previous games
- ❌ DEBUNKED — actively false
If something isn't marked confirmed, we don't know it — and neither does anyone else.
What we will never publish
- Leaked builds or datamined pre-release content
- AI-generated footage presented as gameplay
- Invented payout figures, money methods, or heist details
- Cheat menus, modded accounts, or anything that manipulates the game economy
Rockstar has released two trailers and no hands-on gameplay footage. Grand Theft Auto VI launches November 19, 2026. Until someone has actually played it, nobody has a verified money method — and we'd rather say so than make one up.
What we're building
A free interactive map and completion tracker for Leonida, and guides written from information we've personally verified. On launch day we start playing, and every number on this site becomes something we observed rather than something we estimated.
