GTA 6 Trailers: Watch Both, and What Each One Confirmed

Rockstar has released two trailers for Grand Theft Auto VI. Both are embedded below, straight from Rockstar's official YouTube channel.

Worth stating plainly up front: neither is gameplay footage. As of August 2026 Rockstar has shown no hands-on gameplay at all. Anything presented elsewhere as "GTA 6 gameplay" is GTA V, a mod, or AI-generated.

Trailer 2

The longer and more revealing of the two. It expanded the picture well beyond Vice City itself, showing the wider State of Leonida — wetlands, the Keys, and inland areas — alongside the neon coastline the first trailer led with.

✅ Confirmed here: the dual-protagonist structure with Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, the scope of Leonida beyond the city, and the tone Rockstar described as "the darkest side of the sunniest place in America."

Trailer 1

Released December 4, 2023

The announcement trailer, and still the most-watched game trailer ever made. It established the setting, introduced Lucia — the first playable female protagonist in a modern Grand Theft Auto — and set the modern-Florida tone the series hadn't visited since 2002.

What's next: the Extended Look

Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look premieres on Netflix on August 27 at 3:00 PM ET, then on Rockstar's YouTube channel and the official GTA VI site at 9:00 PM ET the same day.

It's the first substantial new official material since Trailer 2, and the most likely moment before launch for new locations and mechanics to be confirmed. We'll have a full breakdown up within a couple of hours of the premiere — and we'll say clearly which parts are confirmed and which aren't.
